Excerpts from a sermon delivered at
ST. AGNES BAPTIST CHURCH

PSALM 139:13-19 NKJV
For You have formed my inward parts; You have covered me in
my mother's womb.
I will praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret,
and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your
book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of
them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, 0 God! How great
is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would be more in number than the
sand; When I awake, I am still with You.
Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me,
therefore, you bloodthirsty men.
He says I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Everybody say
wonderful. Say it loud--wonderful! Write the word wonderful down. Let me tell you what God
means. It's a powerful Hebrew word. Write the word down again, but write it this way.
Write the word wonder. Write the last word by itself. Now reverse it. That is what the
word means. It means it is "full of wonder". When people look at you they go
"my Lord". Only good can say something as wonderful as that. Marvelous are the
works of their hands. I'm suppose to make people marvel. Look at that man. That is a
smart, handsome, intelligent man. Whoa! Isn't he wonderful. Yes sir, I'm full of wonder.
That is the way my father made me. I am marvelous. He make you marvel. When you walk into
someone's presence they marvel at you!
Your conception is for your destiny to be fulfilled. So, when
you kill a baby you are killing destiny. Just suppose Mary had an abortion. Suppose Moses'
mother had an abortion. It was tough, they were killing little boys back then. If she
could risk her life to save three million people then you can risk your life and have that
baby.
